Serbia Work Permit
If you are a foreign national and wish to work in Serbia, you will need a work permit, which is often called a work visa. But, what is work permit actually? Essentially, it is an act, a document issued by the National Employment Service (hereinafter: NES) based on which you can work in the Republic of Serbia. The employment of foreigners is regulated by the Foreign Nationals Employment Act (hereinafter: Act).
Types of work permits in Serbia:
1. Personal work permit
2. Work permit
For the same time period, you may obtain only one type of a work permit – either a personal work permit or a work permit.
1. The Personal Work Permit is issued for foreigners with permanent residence in Serbia, or for ones with refugee status. This is also issued for foreigners with Serbian family connections; Our lawyers can tell you more on this topic and about how to move to Serbia.
2. The Simple Work Permit for employment is issued with respect to the labor conditions on the market for foreigners who must fill in the positions in a company for which they applied from abroad.
